Prevention
If the natyazhitel is weakened on a hexagon, then it should be removed, otherwise at screwing up the operating chain will be excessively tightened.
Removal
4-CYLINDER ENGINE

1. Remove the hydraulic coupling of the fan. |
| 2. Uncover a head of the block of cylinders. |
| 3. Remove a fan casing. |
| 4. Install the engine on 20 ° below VMT of ignition of the first cylinder. For this purpose transfer the transmission to the provision of idling and tighten the parking brake. Turn a bent shaft by means of a wrench with SW27 nozzle at the central bolt of a belt pulley of a bent shaft in the direction of rotation of the engine, i.e. clockwise, before coincidence of markings. Length of a nozzle of a wrench has to be more than 42 mm. |

5. Insure a final cam-shaft from turn. For this purpose enter a suitable core (Mercedes-N 111589011500) into an opening of a flange of a cam-shaft (78) through an opening in a cam-shaft bearing cover. If the chain is removed, then in the same way record an inlet cam-shaft. |
Prevention
If you do not insert the fixing pin (shooter), adjust a basic position of a cam-shaft.

| 6. Close the generator a film or a rag. |

| 7. Take off maple a ridge belt. |
| 8. If necessary weaken and remove the air pump from above of a natyazhitel of a chain. |

| 9. Weaken a screw stopper (1), having turned on one turn, using a face key of SW10. |
|
10. Unscrew a natyazhitel of a chain in a complex with a detail (14) and remove. |
| 11. Unscrew a screw stopper (1) with a sealing ring (5). Take a spring of compression (8) together with a pin (7). |
| 12. Push out press a finger (10) with a fiksatorny spring (9) back. |
| 13. Separately carefully clean details fuel and check for further suitability to use (risks, a raid). Replace the damaged details, in case of need in a set replace a natyazhitel of a chain. |

Installation
| PERFORMANCE ORDER |
| 1. Fasten to the motor block the case of a natyazhitel of a chain (14) with a new sealing ring (15). The inhaling moment for the 4-cylinder engine – 80 N. of m, for 6-cylinder – 50 N. of m. |
| 2. Collect details (7-10) as before their dismantling, and insert in the mounted natyazhitel of a chain. |
| 3. Twirl a screw stopper (1) with the new condensing ring (5) with m 40 N.' moment, at the same time the spring contracts. |

4-CYLINDER ENGINE
Prevention
Take the stopping core from a cam-shaft flange.

| 4. Establish a cover of a head of the block of cylinders. |
| 5. Remove the closing film from the generator. |
| 6. Install the hydraulic coupling of the fan. |
| 7. Start the engine and check tightness of a natyazhitel of a chain. |
