GENERAL INFORMATION

For internal combustion engines the consumption of oil is meant as that amount of oil which is spent in the course of combustion. It is not necessary to identify an oil consumption with its leak which results from leakage of the oil pallet, a cover of a head of the block of cylinders etc.

The normal consumption of oil arises thanks to combustion according to a small amount of oil in the cylinder, withdrawal of products of combustion and particles of attrition. Besides, oil is spent owing to high temperatures and high pressure in the engine. External factors, such as a driving manner, production admissions exert impact on a consumption of oil also. In a normal case this expense is so small that between the ordered intervals of replacement of oil is required only insignificant it having added.

Oil should be added if the mark "Nachfull" (dolivka) (the maximum quantity of the added oil of 2 l) is reached.

Prevention

Do not fill in engine oil above marking of "Maximal". If too much oil is filled in, then surplus should be merged. Otherwise the catalyst since not burned down oil gets into the final device can be damaged.
