The external hinge of equal angular speeds (HEAS) – non-demountable. Both cuffs are put from the inside of a shaft. After long operation it is recommended to replace cuffs.

1. Remove a half shaft.
2. Unscrew a screw collar, tightening have a bite a collar and in the subsequent replace screw.
3. Bring down a punch a shaft cover.
4. Remove a cuff from the hinge on a half shaft.
5. A rag wipe lubricant on the hinge.
6. By means of sliding kruglogubets move apart a lock ring and remove it.
7. Vypressuyte a half shaft from the internal CV JOINT. For this purpose use the corresponding punch (063) (length about 80 mm), and also the cutting plug (063a).
8. The cutting plug can be manufactured independently according to the specified drawing.
9. Remove a rubber cuff of the internal CV JOINT from a half shaft.
10. If necessary release a collar of an external cuff and remove it through a half shaft. You watch that dirt did not get to the hinge. Before removal of a cuff remove lubricant from its inside and put in the CV JOINT. If necessary wash up the internal CV JOINT in gasoline and examine ball holders regarding wear. At traces of strong wear and deepenings replace all hinge.
11. Clear a half shaft.


1. Apply to change of a cuff ремкомплект which consists of one lock ring, four collars, one rubber cuff and 100 g of the MV long-term lubricant for the hinge (on 1 hinge). On it is long the operated cars it is recommended to change both cuffs at once. Put on shaft vents a sleeve for protection of a cuff against damages at assembly, and in the absence of such sleeve wind vents with an adhesive tape.
2. Put on an external, then internal cuff. After that remove an auxiliary sleeve or an adhesive tape.
3. Put on the internal hinge a half shaft.
4. Clamp a half shaft in adaptation or between protective sponges of a vice at a cuff fillet.
5. Napressuyte SHRUS a punch suitable for this purpose against the stop (arrow) on a half shaft.
6. Release a half shaft from a clip. Put a new lock ring, paying attention to correctness of its landing in a cut.
7. Fill hinges and cuffs with the ordered amount of company fluid Mercedes-Fliessfett lubricant (see the table).
8. Grease surfaces of a prileganiye of the internal CV JOINT to a cover and a rubber cuff with sealant, for example, of Curil, Loctite 574 or Hylomar.
9. Put on a cover and a rubber cuff.
10. Fix cuffs by screw collars on CV JOINTS and a half shaft. On a half shaft of a cuff have to be drawn through a fillet to the CV JOINT. Put a half shaft.

Screws of collars whenever possible have to have the identical direction for what you sit down collars turned to each other on 180 °C.
